This is what made SSSM possible: a clear format specification for SSAv4, put out by the author of SSA. Because of the importance of this document to the SSSM project, we also keep a local copy, in case SSA's webserver is ever struck by a meteor. Since I am a Linux user, I use the Ted text editor to read this (rtf) file.

This is the homepage of SSA, which is a windows subtitling program used primarily by anime fansubbers. Since we are trying to support the format which this program uses, its important to keep an eye on this win32 program to ensure that SSSM outputs compatible code.
